Kristi Waggoner's walking 60 miles in Seattle for Breast Cancer. Won't you help?

From August 7th through the 9th this year, I will be walking 20 miles a day and I will be joining this crusade with approximately 3,000 other people in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-day.

There are over one million women in America with undetected breast cancer. This year, approximately 182,800 women in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. That’s 500 per day. More than 40,800 will die. A woman’s chance of having breast cancer during her lifetime is one in eight. Your chance of knowing this woman is nearly 100%.

My daughter is now 9 years old. I am committed to help in every way I can to support this cause so she does not ever have to worry about it when she gets older. Please assist me in supporting the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade and save lives. Not twenty years from now, but RIGHT NOW!

Before I have the opportunity to make this walk chances are that someone you know, a family member, friend, co-worker will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Your donations could be part of the financial support used to make any one of these people “cancer survivors.” Your mother, your daughter, your sister, your best friend – we all have a story. Let’s all do our part to help make these stories have a happy ending.

I will walk the 60 miles as my part, for your part I ask only a donation. Whether it is one-dollar, one hundred dollars, or five hundred dollars, it will help. In order to walk in this event I must raise $1900.00 but wouldn’t it be great to surpass that and be able to donate, say, $3000. Any assistance you can give to help me reach and exceed my goal will be greatly appreciated and is tax deductible. Along with my personal donation of $100, we can make a difference.

Your donation will help fund cancer centers and medical centers, service organizations and breast health programs nationwide. These programs focus on medically underserved women who otherwise would not have access to medical care.

And if you have a loved one who has been touched by this terrible disease – please send me their name and I will put it on my t-shirt and walk in their honor. My own grandmother’s name will be there, and I will carry her memory with me on this trek.

I believe in this journey of hope. I hope it will inspire others and change lives like I think it has and will mine. I will keep you updated on my progress and I thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Kristi
